We only spent one evening there but found the staff friendly , very cosy bar and great atmosphere. The room was well finished and bed exceptionally comfortable. Good attention to detail. We will definitely be going back.
Stayed here as part of a Cotswolds mini tour. Had such a warm welcome. Quaint, quirky building, with lovely matching and thoughtful decoration. Food and service were a delight, just right for the venue. Two minor points. We had room 9 which was over the bar, so some may find noisy. Also the shower had a mind of its own with temperature. Neither spoiled the stay, but maybother others.
A dream hotel in the heart of the English countryside. Maintaining a classic and refined style, it is a functional, well-kept, beautiful and comfortable hotel. The restaurant is very good and the breakfasts are also nice. The staff is very polite, friendly and always helpful. Its parking is for free. In general, the place is a little expensive, but it's worth it.
Terrible service at breakfast time. They don't start serving cooked food till 7.30 . No good for anybody on a business trip. I had to ask for someone to take my order as nobody actually came to take it. Bar menu is quite restricted and vegetarian options were very limited.My room was good, spacious and clean.
Lovely stay, welcoming staff and good service. Stayed in the Ash suite which was great, well sized and appointed, and a really cosy place to spend a weekend away. The bar was nice and had good food. The restaurant was disappointing, had to wait for 20 minutes to be given menus and order, and the food was overpriced for what it was - 22 for a venison casserole with no veg or anything on the side! Also no background music or any ambience which made for a very strange dining experience - only 5 couples eating and all whispering to one another because it was so quiet! All in all a lovely hotel for a weekend away in the Cotswolds, but wouldn't bother with the main restaurant.
