Wonderful food. lovely staff and serounding but completely spoilt by being freezing cold, halfway through the main course we went and got our coats and sat for the rest of the meal with them on, we were glad to get to the car and warm up.
Went for lunch and the Christmas shopping. Lovely lunch and brilliant staff made to feel so welcome. Christmas shopping was good really enjoyed the experience very good value.
Excellent guided tour of the gardens. Our tour was very interesting and covered the history of the gardens from when Prince Charles acquired property with just grass land surrounding the main house to present day. What was exceptional was the guide had experience in garden design and explained thoroughly the planning involved and how vistas play an important role in Highgrove. Very impressive how the gardens have worked with nature as opposed to fighting it and depending on what time of you visit there is always something special to see. Would recommend for a day out and the food was good too. Only disappointment was the zero photo / mobile phone policy.
Wonderful guided tour of the gardens of HRH Prince of Wales at Highgrove near Tetbury. Book your tour, have your photo ID ready and be transported into a world of organic gardening and delight. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and all the Highgrove staff are friendly and professional. After the tour, spend time in the restaurant and sample pure English afternoon tea. So yummy!
Shot past the entrance first time round, which was fun. Obviously not sign posted but clear on the second go. As expected a smart, tidy car parking area with a very tasteful reception area come tea room. The gardens were a delight and the guide entertaining and knowledgeable.
