Fantastic family day out - especially for younger children and dogs (in the silk wood where dogs are allowed). Lots of parking. Wonderful walks. Shop and cafes for food and drinks after a hearty walk! Look out for the Enchanted Evening in Nov/Dec each year - the Trees are floodlight - its a magical walk through the dark shadows and exploring all the decorations, whilst looking forward to the hot chocolate and Christmas market at the end of the walk - this event has been a family favourite for many years.

Totally beautiful always makes us feel great after being here. The trees are stunning whichever time of the year it is. And the toilets are fabulous.
This visit was wonderful. Just before Christmas our entire family which included 7 grandchildren did a night walk through a section of the forest. The trees were lit up with different colour lights which excited the children. There was also an Elf's village which they loved. The walk was a little bit long for young children but apart from that it was exciting for them. Would recommend a visit next year for the Christmas light up.
Absolutely tip top. Wonderful place. Recommend going with kids or dogs or just yourself. Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly staff. Very exciting trees. I recommend taking a guide.
