We had the most amazing wedding here, the staff, the grounds, the decor, the food were all amazing.

Hadn't intended to post a poor review (appeared as 1* after I added photos). I visited Matara for a wedding and had a great time! A lovely intimate venue, with friendly staff and incredible gardens.
For me as a Wedding Photographer, Matara is a stunning Cotswold venue. Its situated in a great accessible location and the staff there are amazing and thoughtful. The food is divine, really good portions and some of the best around (I'm a total foodie). On the day I was there, it was clean plates all round.Now when it comes to photographs, from my point of view there are so many gorgeous little locations around the place that will leave you with killer images. From secluded little courtyards surrounded by bamboo, to rustic out buildings to grand staircases adorned with lovely art to wooded glades, ancient stone circles and another courtyard with a lovely Zen type atmosphere adorned with wisteria, lanterns and a pond.The Bridal Suite is large and spacious with amazing natural window light which is perfect for Bridal Prep shots.Seriously, this is one lovely venue and well worth a visit.
Venue was very pretty but paths pretty tough. Should be aware not to wear high heels. Mine took the strain and broke. However staff were amazing offering me what help they could - super glue and a helping hand. Food was great and again great service - kept wine flowing and jugs of water aplenty. Very romantic setting for a wedding. Blessing in the labyrinth, games on the lawn. Very good set up apart from the paths.
